Following closely on the heels of Heartbreaker, the first release off GIRLS‘ upcoming EP Broken Hearts Club, is Alright, a sunny, upbeat jam boasting swelling horns and some fresh guitar soloing. One thing that stands out about this track is that it’s predominantly instrumental. GIRLS decided to focus on the music here and it’s not really a bad decision; the composition is beautiful and you really get to check out some fine guitar work, presumably from Christopher Owens himself. Really a nice track and when considered in the light of Heartbreaker, suggestive of a what could be a real solid follow-up album, albeit a short one. The 6-song Broken Dreams Club drops November 22 on True Panther.
