JAMES PANTS: “Darlin'”

Sounding like someone mixed HEAVY HAWAII‘s ’60s surf pop with some fast paced gothic electro and a prominent tape hiss. The description sounds like it probably wouldn’t work, but it does. JAMES PANTSDarlin’ is a subdued doo-wop pop track with an unsuspecting powerful chorus that, while not loud or hectic, emotes a ton of energy. The production on this thing should really be applauded; it was a ballsy move in and of itself to place those vocals into this sound scape.
