PALMBONEN: “Moon Children”

First off, it should be noted that there’s really no better way to open a track than with the screech of an ornery falcon, which is exactly what PALMBONEN (translates to “palm trees”) employs to kick off his killer-grooved Moon Children. Hailing from Amsterdam, but sounding more like Southern US acts WASHED OUT and TORO Y MOI, PALMBONEN drives a slowed, dead-beat synth line into the ground while mixing in the sounds of some coconut drums. It all works amazingly to create a shade-in-the-sun kinda chillwave feel, which is super tropical and kinda gorg.
