In this digital age, where everybody’s got their own personal copy of Pro Tools or Reason, new electronic music is to be approached cautiously. These days, it’s rarely good. Everyone feels like they should be the next DAFT PUNK. So, when we are lucky enough to hear some good coming out of a new electronic act, we should recognize that and thank the powers-that-be that we don’t have to just keep dancing to the same old digi-beats as last year. So while it is hard to unearth good new electronic pop, it’s not impossible. See SLANDERCAT’s Broom Tree for proof. And if you like that, go cop the free EP at their bandcamp page.
